This app has issue to analyze the deadly mushrooms!

This app is extremely useful and a must have for the mushroom enthusiast . Great field guide!

Highly inaccurate search. 99% of the time I try to identify a mushroom, the wrong ones show up and I have to search for them myself through the database. Although I know not all mushrooms are in the database, the search option is still inaccurate for the the ones that are in the database. I am honestly not pleased with the app and I wish I could have a refund.

It’s not possible to edit a mushroom identity, if it’s not in the predefined set of possibilities. The app identified a destroying angel as a stinkhorn, and wouldn’t let me edit the details. Also can’t update the location if you upload the photo somewhere other than where you took it.

This app does not do a good job identifying mushrooms from your photographs. In fact it has never correctly identified anything I’ve submitted a search for. But it does give good descriptions and pictures of many species found in my area.

I have been cross referencing with my mushroom groups on FB. Very useful...don’t trust a mushroom unless absolutely sure.

I was excited to try something that might narrow down some of my unknown mushrooms and let me record my locations, but after trying it out with the known species, I was very disappointed in how inaccurate the App’s photo identification is. I used multiple photos of the same species (different angles and lighting) to see if a better quality photo would make a difference in accuracy. It misidentified every photo and species except the Chicken of the Woods and black trumpets. It could not ID Hen of the Woods, chanterelles (2 sp), painted bolete, Old Man of the Woods, Dryad’s Saddle, and several other inedible species, each with multiple photo ID attempts. Also, the app froze every time a photo was deleted from the photo ID list. As for the location record, I could only record the current location while using the app, it would not let me pin a location for a previously found mushroom, not helpful for places with no cell and/or gps service. Bottom line, if you’re spending money, get a regular ID app if you want something reliable and DEFINITELY don’t rely on this App for edibles vs poisonous varieties!!!

In general, I am happy. Of course, not all mushrooms are in the guide (this is impossible), but more than in other similar apps and in most books. Certainly not all my photos are recognized by 100% correctly, but in my experience, in most cases, the correct answer among the top 3-4 in the list of the most similar. This is not bad i think. So I will wait for spring and check it all in the forest. I wish the developers not to stop adding new species and improve the accuracy of recognition.

I have used nothing but very clear photos and have had ZERO correct identifications. Useless app.

You get drawings, no pictures. Waste of money.

Абсолютно бесполезная программа. Не определяет грибы из 100 - процентов 99. Во многих словах отсутствуют буквы. Предложения в заголовках неполные, непонятен смысл. Цвета в фоновых рисунках аж пестрят, неудобно для глаз. Не покупайте приложение. За него деньги вам не вернут!

Can’t seem to access any sort of map or gps enabled “hunting mode”. Can I have my mooolah back? That’s the only reason I bought it. I have an up to date iPhone so all the features from your picture advertisements should work!

This app is great because it has over 170 species of mushrooms in its guide and this lets you identify mushrooms offline so you don t need service to identify them!

Incorrectly identities 3 out of 5 photos that I ran through the camera-search feature. The app has loads of information on its available species, but it simply doesn’t function as advertised. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update, but for now, there are free apps that do a much better job.

Don’t buy this App, all you will get is the “did not match any mushrooms” message. It can’t even find some well known mushrooms like Dryad’s Saddle and Chicken of the Woods in the database.

The database of mushroom for search is not too comprehensive. Please beef it up. Please also include more real-life pictures of the mushroom for id purpose, since I don’t find drawings that helpful. In any case, I’m rather disappointed to pay for the app but it’s not very useful. A lot of searches with camera pics don’t yield any result. Shazam, this is not (yet). The idea of it, when it works (as Shazam does), is great. This app is not quite there yet.

Out of five mushroom photo only one was identified correctly. It identified bright red Gandomera tsugae as birch polypore. The illustrations it uses if you are searching through the app for a match could be a lot better.

Psilocybin containing mushrooms should not be categorized as poisonous, they should be in a category of their own, perhaps not under edible, but definitely not poisonous, a separate icon other than skull and cross bones to describe inedible. Needs more work.. i will keep the app as it contains useful information non the less.

The “shazam” feature is experimental at best. The database is incomplete at best. It incorrectly ids some of the easiest mushrooms; chicken of the woods, beefsteaks, turkey tails. Even some popular mushrooms you can find at the farmers market like lions mane or maitake are missing from the database. It does id some correctly and gets close on others but more bad than good at least for the South East US. Im an amateur mushroom hunter, and I would recommend not eating anything identified by this app.

I wish I could give this horrible app negative stars. I have never gotten a correct ID from my pictures. Not once. Just today it identified oyster mushrooms as golden chanterelles and gave a 66% probability. If I shudder to think anyone might actually use this thing thinking it was foolproof. A waste of time.

Such a detailed and complete app. I love that I can favorite specific mushrooms to a separate list for quick reference later.

So much information, great pictures, and no "in your face" advertising. Beautiful!

Very limited varieties of mushrooms in the app. When I search for known varieties the search comes up negative.

Great app with nice pictures and descriptions. More mushrooms need to be added for this to be a helpful field guide.

Хорошие описания и много фотографий, избранное. Мечтаю о функциях программы: по координате выдавать список грибов которые можно потенциально встретить в этом регионе (это попроще) ну и конечно же напрашивается функция распознование гриба по фотографии, как в google goggles, хотя это ближе к фантастике.... Ну или можно сделать маленький сортировщик, например: задаешь опять же регион, цвет, размер, наличие юбочки, структура шляпки и тд., а потом получаешь список подходящих грибов.

I could easily find what mushroom I wanted. This helped me get through many School projects.

I like this app because it gives us a good explanation about the fungi kingdom and its differences, as well as lengthy explanation between poisonous mushrooms and edible ones. The photos are outstanding, although I would have liked to have seen more species represented, but I am sure the developers will add more in subsequent updates. Great app guys! Keep up the good work!

Уважаемые покупатели, которым "жалко денежек", мало вероятно, что вы прочитаете наш ответ, но все же: 1) Если вам стало жалко 100 рублей за наш продукт, вы можете сразу после покупки их вернуть (только не затягивайте, а то это уже будет не честно), для этого достаточно написать в Аппле, и сказать что вы ошиблись, и не прочитали описание, в котором четко написано, что в текущей версии даны описание 130 грибов, но вы то рассчитывали минимум на тысячу - поверьте, вам вернут кровные. 2) Если вы не знаете как вернуть деньги за ошибочную покупку, не надо писать нам ругательный отзыв и ставить 1 звезду (единицу) - это не справедливо, повторю, в описании и на скриншотах явно сказано сколько грибов в справочнике (на самом деле их уже больше). Лучше напишите нам письмо на адрес поддержки, мы обязательно поможем вернуть деньги - нам чужого не надо. Прецеденты были и всегда все оставались довольны. 3) Тем кто еще сомневается зря или нет были потрачены 100 рублей, зайдите в любой книжный и посмотрите сколько стоит самый обычный справочник по Грибам, сколько в нем будет описаний и сколько иллюстраций. Уверен после этого вопрос исчезнет сам собой. 4) В каждой версии мы добавляем новые грибы, должен честно признаться что это не так просто как кажется, на просторах интернета много всего, и это все часто противоречиво. Приходится очень аккуратно и внимательно все выбирать вычитывать, сравнивать. Фотографий в хорошем качестве и из проверенных источником найти так же очень сложно. Поэтому, если вы уважаемые пользователи, знаете что есть Гриб который обязательно нужно добавить в справочник, или не дай Бог нашли у нас неточность, напишите нам, и мы оперативно все добавим/исправим. Уж если вы потратили свои деньги и вложили свою копеечку в наш труд - неужели приятнее написать гадость, а не потратить это же время на то, что бы сделать продукт который уже ВАШ чуточку лучше, что бы пользоваться им с большим удовольствием?
